New Makeup Revolution Iconic Pro lipsticks swatches and review

Makeup Revolution has taken us by storm since it’s launch in March 2014. Designed for brand new market of people interested in fashion and new makeup trends but perhaps unable to match the price of what we used to define as professional make up. It has shown us that you don’t necessarily need to spend a lot to purchase a professional make up. Makeup Revolution range is now used by amateurs as well as pro MUAs worldwide.

I am a huge fan of the brand since my first purchase. I am also a lipstick lover and have “few” in my collection so I couldn’t say no when I saw the first glimpses of the new lipsticks on Instagram.
Say hello to the new Iconic Pro lipsticks available exclusively via www.makeuprevolutionstore.com.

I picked up 10 out of 20 newly launched shades, 3 of each are matte.
Pigmentation is just incredible, there are no other words.
They cost £2.49 each and I own many 4 times the price which quality hasn’t impressed me as much.
Formula is very creamy and has a long staying power. ‘You’re a star’ is not a matte finish and it lasted on my lips for over 5 hours when I went out shopping. Granted I wasn’t eating but it’s great nevertheless.

When I added a photo to my Instagram few weeks back, it received many likes and comments asking for more detailed pictures and swatches. I can’t say no to these, so I swatched them all for you below :)

I am looking forward to testing them all in the due time and using them in the new makeup looks and pictures.

I am also tempted to pick up the rest of the range as these have impressed me a lot.

Have you tried any of the Makeup Revolution products before? I would love to know your thoughts so leave me a comment below :)

Thanks for reading & don't forget to follow me on Instagram & Bloglovin' to stay in touch.

The Capital Beauty Box - first impressions review

Capital FM radio has teamed up with Latest in Beauty to bring this incredibly packed beauty box in time for fast approaching festival season.

The Capital Beauty Box by Latest in Beauty
The Capital Beauty Box

The Capital Beauty Box is still available in UK from www.latestinbeauty.com at an amazing £14.99 and it’s packed with 9 beauty treats to see you through upcoming spring/summer months. From nails and lips through full on eye makeup and even flash tattoos and a scent you really can’t go wrong.

Let's start with the eyes. In the box you will find everything you need for a sultry smoky look this season.

Neutral coloured Eyes Uncovered Nude Palette from Collection will do the trick. From light to deep bronze you can create any number of daytime to evening looks with this little box.

Line your eyes with supplied Stila Smudge Stick Waterproof Eyeliner in Black Amethyst for an extra added smokiness or as a base under your shadows to really show their colour payoff. Don't forget to go in between lashes to give them extra volume boost before you apply the mascara.

Finish your look with Collection's Lengthening Mascara in Ultra Black for separation and length as promised by this  drugstore staple brand.

Now time for a quick mani... I'm kidding of course but you will be happy to find not one but two nail products in this cute, little box as well.

Firsty prep your nails with 4-side nail buffer for healthy and shiny effect. Top it off with new collection by Rita Ora for Rimmel. I received Rimell 60 Seconds Super Shine Nail Polish in the shade '300 Glaston-Berry' which is a super pretty, goes with everything coral red shade. Wide applicator will help with fast and easy application for that perfect day in the sun or an evening out manicure :)

And let's not forget about the lips :)

Renowned Pixi by Petra to the rescue :) In my box I found Lip Blush in Energy. And this coral shade is just perfect for summer. It will compliment your tan and your manicure :) As it's a lips stain it can be quite dying on some people, so remember to prep your lips first to ensure a smooth and long wearing effects :)

I would highly recommend a DIY lip scrub (mix a little coconut oil with brown sugar). Then you can add a little of Burt's Bees Lip Shimmer to nourish and moisturise your lips.
You can finish it all off with a spritz of a great new fragrance sample from Jimmy Choo and a one or two flash tattoos :)

What do you guys think? I personally think The Capital Beauty Box is a treat for the price as you can find practically everything you need to create a great look in one, tiny box.

I only recently discovered Latest in Beauty but I already know this will not be the last box I get from them.

Sound off in the comments below if you liked this style of first impressions and if you would like to see me review some more of beauty boxes available in UK :)

Love,

Dorottka
