Latest in Beauty subscription March 2017 |
Ok, I may have a slight Latest in Beauty problem. I used to be a huge fan, then got bored with beauty boxes and stopped & now I'm back in a full swing. By that I mean, within a week or so I managed to order not one but three boxes & let me tell you, I am loving it! If you follow me for a bit, you can probably see a lot more of skincare posts than previously. I have been more cautious about my complexion and trailing a lot of new skincare. I am loving my skin at the moment. Becoming aware of ingredients and learning about their benefits for my skin has been mind blowing. It's not easy, it took me a year or so to perfect my daily routine. I also change the product quite often but go by the rules I've learnt. Latest in Beauty boxes provide an incredible opportunity to test the new and usually expensive product without having to spend hundreds. The samples offered are of good size and you can always tell what size you are about to order. There are so many brands to choose from and that's what I love about the boxes, they're totally transparent, you get what you paid for!
There are two ways to order from Latest in Beauty. There's a subscription package, where you order 3, 6 or 9 products monthly. The price differs depending on subscription. As you've probably guessed I went for Beauty Guru subscription which means 9 products I choose myself every month. It costs £18 and the delivery is free. There are nearly 100 of products to choose from, ranging from makeup, skincare, body & haircare to even candles! Subscription doesn't come in a usual box, just a standard package which is probably why they are offered at such reduced price (you can still order the products without subscription but it costs £25 instead of £18!) You can subscribe HERE and choose one of the three packages: Beauty Novice, Beauty Enthusiast & Beauty Guru
The second way to buy through Latest in Beauty is to buy their curated limited edition boxes. These vary in price and usually cost between £20 to £60 depending on what's included. Recently two boxes have grabbed me & I ordered them no questions asked. These were Beauty and The Beast box (which I honestly got mainly for the box itself, but turned out to be a great selection of products!) and Harper's Bazaar box which was less easy on the pocket but there were many products I wanted to try for ages with selection from Zelens, Origins, Nailberry and more. I'd love to do 'a little' (ahem massive!) unboxing for you now, so if you're interested, let's get this party on the road!
Latest in Beauty Beauty Guru subscription March 2017 |
John Frieda Luxuious Volume 7 Day Volume Treatment & Merci Handy Refreshing Face Mist |
Products in the box (own selection):
Heavens Skincare Chamomile Desensitising Hydrogel | RPR £19.00 for 30 ml | sample 10ml
Active ingredients:
Organic Chamomile Oil, Rose Extract Oil, Organic Witch Hazel, Organic Coconut
Can be applied after cleansing as a Toner, or as a Primer before Foundation. This product is great for sensitive and rosacea prone skin as it helps reduce irritation, normalises the skin and helps to prevent skin sensitivity to other ingredients.
Melvina Damask Rose Floral Water | RPR £15 for 100ml | sample 28 ml
Rose Water is obtained by distillation of organic Rosa Damascena petals. Rose extracts are great not only for sensitive types but also combination and oily as they help to regulate sebum. Ageing and mature skin should love it too as it promotes a youthful appearance by preventing fine lines and deep wrinkles. I used it once and it smells of beautiful roses (what happened to me, I used to despise the scent lol!). It's also super refreshing, but not too fine. The travel size is perfect for any handbag too :)
REN Glycolic Skin Renewal Peel Mask | RPR £32 for 50ml | sample 15ml
This comes highly recommended by my friend Dagmara, who's recently called it better than Oskia Renaissance Mask. I can't wait to use it now! The mask is made with 5-6.5% Glycolic Acid which works great at exfoliating and helps skin renewal. Perfect for ageing and mature skin. The active ingredients are a blend of pure fruit acid complex (Lactic, Glycolic, Tartaric & Citric) and papaya enzymes. It has a warning for super sensitive skin, so I'll be sure to let you know how I get on!
Ooh! Oils of Heaven Organic Aegean Moisture Retention Face Oil | RPR £19 for 30ml | sample 15ml
This pure 100% Organic Argania Spinosa L. kernel oil is full of Vitamin E and essential Fatty Acids such as Linoleic, Linolenic and Oleic Acids. I really look forward to using it as I adore Argan Oil for hair and body and look forward to using it on my face!
Merci Handy Hello Sunshine Face Mist | RPR 4.50€ for 30 ml | full size
I love a good face mist and have developed slight obsession recently. This mist is so finely milled and refreshing, I can tell we'll be great friends! With warmer months coming and my tendency to feel hot (well duh lol!), I think I'll be using it all the time. Small size means handbag friendly too!
Ingredients:
Aqua (Water), Phenoxyethanol, Glycerin, Ppg-26-Buteth-26, Peg-40 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Parfum (Fragrance), Citric Acid, Sodium Hydroxide.
Oskia Renaissance Mask | RPR £49.50 for 50ml | sample 12ml | POST
I had to order another! I love this mask. Ok, I won't be ditching my overnight Lactic/Glycolic Acid combo but this mask is perfect for days I'm feeling slightly more sensitive as it's super gentle! I won't go into too much detail as I've just reviewed it in my March Edit. Check there for more info :)
John Friends Luxurious Volume 7 Day Volume In-Shower Treatment | £9.99 for 100ml, currently on offer £7.45 | Full size
I fell in love with John Frieda in my dark brunette days (Yep It was a thing!) and loved their products! With my hair shorter, I'm looking for products promising volume so I picked up this Treatment. It's described as semi-permanent treatment with the volume boosting polymers. If you're not familiar with the term, polymers are a substance which has a structure built up from a large number of similar units bonded together. Polymers penetrate hair to thicken individual fibres. It supposed to be wash-resistant and last in between 2-3 washes. I'm really looking forward to this and will report back with a review!
Phil Smith Be Gorgeous Mirror Shine Spray | RPR £2.50 for 100ml | full size
I use a lot of dry shampoo to give my hair more volume and to prolong the time in between the washes. Dry shampoos mean matte hair and I love to give it more shine. This glossing spray promises just that and I hope it won't be making hair greasy! I am yet to use it so I report back. It's a supermarket beauty again (and I loved Aldi's Lacura Caviar Illumination range) so I have high hopes for this contender!
Ingredients:
Butane, Alcohol Denat., Cyclomethicone, Propane, Isobutane, Dimethicone, PEG-12 Dimethicone, Cetearyl Octanoate, Parfum, Benzyl Salicylate, Hexyl Cinnamal, Butylphenyl Methylpropional, Linalool
Native Unearthed Crystal Deodorant with Raw Curcumin | RPR £6.49 | full size
You have to excuse me but at the time of taking pictures for this post (and currently!!) I am going crazy and looking everywhere for this natural deodorant. I have no idea where I put it! This deodorant is made only from natural mineral salts and infused with raw Curcumin juices. This provides a combination of hydration, moisturising and anti-inflammatory properties. I have high hopes for it, so hoping it'll work!
Ingredients:
Potassium Alum. Curcuma Longa, Glycerin& Aqua
Latest in Beauty Beauty and the Beast Limited Edition box |
Latest in Beauty Beauty and the Beast: Caudalie, Burts Bees, Soigné, L'Occitane, Gatineau, Oribe |
Products (curated box):
Burts Bees Natural Lipstick in Blush Basin | RPR £9.99 each
This already featured in my last two posts so it's no surprise I love this lippy so much! It was such a great discovery and completely re-defined Burts Bees as a company to me! I'm excited to try more their products and this natural nude lipstick has done it! Brilliant!
L'Occitane Roses et Reines Hand & Nail Cream | RPR £8 for 30ml & £15 for 75ml | sample 10ml
Another rose scented product that I don't mind at all. This mini sample is perfect for your handbag and as any L'Occitane hand cream beautifully moisturises and keeps my hands super soft! Sinks in quickly too! Can't complain.
Soigné Nail Polish in Betteraves Rouges | RPR £11 | POST
It landed in favourites already as it's a truly beautiful true red nail polish. Plus the formula is free from all the nasty ingredients and safer to use than many others! Up to 85% of ingredients are natural and plant-sourced, there are no harmful carcinogens (5 free formula) plus its cruelty-free & vegan-friendly! And it lasts well and applies beautifully!
Gatineau Radiance Enhancing Gommage | RPR £35 for 75ml | full size
This enzymatic exfoliator doesn't contain micro-beads so it's gentle on the skin, even the sensitive types. Packed with Malic, Glycolic, Lactic, Citric, Linoleic and LinolenicAcids, apple fruit extract and enriched with Vitamin C formula melts away dead skin cells, brightens and refined complexion. I live for my AHA treatments and this sounds such a treat. Massage it in until formula turns to liquid, leave for a couple of minutes then rinse away with warm water. It's so gentle you can use it all over, even over crows feet and around the eyes! Sounds like a keeper doesn't it?
Oribe Gold Dust Dry Shampoo | RPR £36 for 286ml | sample 43ml
The most luxurious dry shampoo to date! Is it worth it? I don't think you should be spending £36 on any dry shampoo but it is super lovely. It's nearly invisible and gives hair a volume boost whilst keeping it fresh for longer. It's amazing but will I repurchase? Given the price point, probably not. If you have money to spare and are looking for a luxurious hair product, I would recommend it but if not, then don't stretch, it is still a dry shampoo!
Caudalie Vinosource Moisturising Sorbet | RPR £23 for 40ml | sample 10ml
Meant for sensitive skin, it promises to soothe and calm irritation-prone Complexion. Rich in anti-oxidants and polyphenols strengthens and nourish your skin. This gel-cream is super gentle and ideal for skin needing a moisture kick, dry combination and sensitive types should love it as it's very lightly scented and super light.
You can grab the box by itself for only £6.00 and it's so worth it if you're a Disney/ Beauty and The Beast fan. Grab yours HERE.
Or grab the Beast box for your man, bestie, brother or for yourself. Grab yours HERE for only £20 now!

Products (curated box):
Laura Mercier Foundation Primer - Radiance | RPR £30 for 30ml | sample 15ml
I didn't really love the original LM Primer but wanted to try the Radiance one since it launched. Peachy Pearl tint is super moisturising and softens the skin giving it only a slight glow from within look. I kind of expected something similar to Becca Primer that I love - POST - but Swatching it for the first time I can't see any similarities. Radiance Primer is Water based so, in theory, should be perfect for dry skin and I look forward to testing it more soon!
Omorovicza Queen Of Hungary Mist | RPR £25 for 50ml & £48 for 100ml | sample 30ml
One of the products on my ever large wish list was definitely a factor in me splurging on this box. Highly recommended by my lovely friend Siobhán, this fine mist is felt super luxurious in its matte heavy glass bottle. It's so fine, it'll be perfect to use under and over makeup but glass bottle is not that travel-friendly so I'll leave it as a luxurious step in my skincare routine. Think of it as a Toner on steroids, the formula is rich with mineral thermal waters packed with skin-beneficial properties. It heals, purifies, rejuvenates and protects the skin. Hungarian Thermal Water meets Rosa Damascena Flower Water, Orange Flower Water, Sage Leaf Water and much more. The scent is just lovely and skin feels instantly hydrated! Love from a first spritz!
Did you know? The Queen of Hungary Water is lightly scented and was the 'original' perfume formulated in Europe for Queen Elizabeth of Hungary back in 14th century! Perfect for any of you, my Queens!
Lancôme Hypnôse Mascara Volume | RPR £24.50 for 6.5ml | sample 2ml
I used to always use Lancôme Hypnôse and still think of it fondly! I look forward to testing it soon to see if the love's still there! I remember it as insanely volumising without clumping. I love mascara samples as they last forever and are perfect for travel. I'll be saving it for my trip to Spain!
Origins Drink Up Intensive Overnight Mask to Quench Skin's Thirst | RPR £24 for 100ml | full size
That's a lengthy name, isn't it? I wanted to try Origins masks forever so getting the full-size version in the box seemed like a perfect idea! Enriched with Avocado and Apricot Kernel Oils, Rose Water, Japanese Seaweed and much more, the formula helps skin repair, intensely moisturises, prevents dehydration and fight signs of premature ageing. Sounds like a dream and I can't wait to use it!
Ingredients:
Water\Aqua\Eau; Rosa Damascena (Rose) Flower Water, Myrtus Communis (Myrtle) Leaf Water, Citrus Aurantium Amara (Bitter Orange) Flower Water, Anthemis Nobilis (Chamomile) Flower Extract; Glycerin; Cetyl Alcohol; Glyceryl Polymethacrylate; Dimethicone; Peg-75; Peg-8; Glycereth-26; Sorbitan Stearate; Ribes Nigrum (Black Currant) Seed Oil*, Prunus Amygdalus Amara (Bitter Almond) Kernel Oil*, Cinnamomum Camphor (Camphor) Bark Oil*, Citrus Aurantium Dulcis (Orange) Peel Oil*, Prunus Armeniaca (Apricot) Kernel Oil*, Osmanthus Fragrans Flower Extract, Rosa Damascena Extract, Citrus Aurantium Amara (Bitter Orange) Flower Extract, Linalool, Limonene; Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Extract; Cladosiphon Okamuranus Extract; Oryza Sativa (Rice) Extract; Avena Sativa (Oat) Kernel Extract; Olea Europaea (Olive) Fruit Extract; Triticum Vulgare (Wheat) Bran Extract; Peg-100 Stearate; Sucrose**; Citrus Aurantium Dulcis (Orange) Peel Wax; Panthenol; Pantethine; Cetyl Ethyl Hexanoate; Mangifera Indicia (Mango) Seed Butter; Prunus Armeniaca (Apricot) Kernel Oil; Persea Gratissima (Avocado) Oil; Butylene Glycol; Cetearyl Alcohol; Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) Oil; Phytosterols; Tocopheryl Acetate; Oryzanol; Bisabolol; Capryloyl Glycol; Potassium Hydroxide; Caffeine; Hexylene Glycol; Sodium Hyaluronate; Dextrin; Carbomer; Disodium Edta; Sodium Dehydroacetate; Phenoxyethanol
Breathable nail polish collection from Nailberry is free from Formaldehyde, Toluene, Camphor, DPB and Ethanol. It's safer than most drugstore polishes and makes for a beautiful 'healthy' manicure. The formula is quite thick, so needs to be applied sparingly, using the minimum product possible. The finish is stunning, fully opaque nails achieved with two coats! Au Naturel is a light pinky nude, beautiful for any time of year. The polish survived my work in the garden and I look forward to testing it more. So far so good!
Tan-Luxe The Face Illuminating Tan Drops Light/Medium | RPR £35 for 30ml | full size
The Face presents tailor-made tanning on the go. Few drops into your usual moisturiser promise a flawless and glowing complexion. Enriched with Rasberry Seed Oil, Vitamin E and Aloe Vera, all have skin-boosting and Smoothing properties. This supposedly no smell self-tan works with your current skincare regime. I'm not big on self-tanners but I'm really looking forward to using this product!
Ingredients:
Aqua (Water), Dihydroxyacetone, Alcohol Denat. (Alcohol), Glycerin, Erythrulose, Rubus Idaeus, (Raspberry) Seed Oil, Aloe Barbadensis, Leaf Juice, Hydrolyzed Silk, Caramel, Tocopheryl Acetate, Xanthan Gum, Polysorbate 80, Parfum (Fragrance), Limonene, Geraniol, Hexyl Cinnamal, Benzyl Salicylate, Bu-Tylphenyl Methylpropional, Sodium Hydroxide, Benzoic Acid, Dehydroacetic Acid, Phenoxyethanol.
Moroccanoil Treatment Original | £13.45 for 25ml & £31.85 for 125ml
This Treatment oil created the whole buzz about Argan Oil back in the day. Remember the good old days? This oil can be used as conditioning, styling and finishing tool. Enriched with vitamins and Argan Oil it gives hair the shine & bounce, detangles, speeds drying time whilst protecting it from split ends leaving it nourished and smooth. I love the light version of this product so much and use it for my ends all the time. I love the small bottle as you only ever need few drops.
Oribe Dry Texturising Spray | RPR £20 for 75ml & £41 for 300ml | sample 37ml | POST
I love this Spray so much! It adds volume, gives my hair definition and it's perfect for adding texture to any hairstyle! I already raved about it in my March Edit so check it all there, but it's honestly a magic invisible Spray! Love love love!
Zelens 3t Complex Essential Anti-Ageing Cream | RPR £95 for 50ml | sample 15ml
I wanted to try Zelens skincare forever, since hearing my favourite Alex Steinherr rave about it in countless Snapchat clips so seeing the sample in this box practically made me press BUY IT NOW Lol! It contains Ursolic Acid to transform any lined, dull and ageing skin. It supposed to reduce the wrinkles depth whilst improving firmness and elasticity. Also enriched with a cocktail of ginkgo, ginseng root, Witch Hazel, Acerola, Grape Vine, Algae Complex, Borage Seed, Flax Seed, Sesame Seed Oils and Rice Proteins, Vitamin E and Hyaluronic Acid. If the active ingredients list doesn't impress you, I don't know what will! I can't wait to lather it on my face. Sparingly. As it costs £95 for crying out loud! I hope I hate it! Truly! Lol
