HALLOWEEN UNICORN MAKEUP FOR THE NOT SO BRAVE 🦄

Unicorn makeup edit

Unicorn makeup look for hooded eyes

Two posts in two days? I am going strong despite a quick mid-week break due to feeling less than optimal. Life huh? Back to being infantile and my huge love of unicorns. You can be 30+ and love everything unicorn. This is a safe space, no judgement. And if you aren’t, good for you, time for expensive skincare is yet to come and you can enjoy all the blues and lilacs every day and not just on Halloween! I am staying put this year and licking my metaphorical wounds but I’ll be playing around with makeup and drinking wine!  Morphe x Jaclyn Hill palette allows for many makeup playtime parties and this easy unicorn themed look was created with it. If you’re interested to see how it all came together, please read on.

Unicorn lives here ðŸ¦„

I always start my eye makeup with a good base and Too Faced Shadow Insurance is as good as it gets. With no white/pale beige matte in Morphe palette, I set it with RCMA No-Colour Powder. I start by adding a little shape with the light matte camel shade from the palette and building upon it with the shade next to it, that’s a little deeper.

Having that base on, you’ll want to grab a different brush, I used Zoeva 221 Luxe Soft Crease Brush which is lightly pointed and smaller and makes for precise application and allows for more precise blending too. I pick up satin purple and start by placing the colour in the outer corner blending it a little inwards and above the crease (or fake crease for hooded eyes). I add a little in the inner corner blending it towards the middle and upwards again. Above the crease, I blend it all, so the purple meets in the middle. I add and blend until I’m happy with the intensity.

Morphe The Jaclyn Hill Palette

To perfect the blending, I use the first two light-medium camel shades on a pencil brush and place it just above the purple, swap for a blending brush and blend it towards the brow line. In the outer corners above the purple, I add the darker warm camel shade to intensify and finish modelling the eye. I take the light camel shade again and blend it towards the brow line. I go at the blending for a while trying to make it as seamless as possible.

I then take the NYX Milk Jumbo Pencil and apply it directly to the mid lid and blend with my finger a little. Picking up the stunning turquoise metallic shade on a finger, I apply it directly on top of the Milk Jumbo Pencil and blend it lightly. I re-apply to build intensity and add a little purple to the very outer and inner corners.

I re-do the steps at the bottom lid next. Purple on the inner and outer corners and turquoise in the middle, blending it below with the light matte camel shades. Then go back to a blending brush and blend, blend, blend.

Unicorn eye for not so brave

One's look can’t be complete without a blinding the very inner corners, am I right? I choose MAC Pigment in Kitschmas because, well just look at it! So pretty, it’s insane! I apply it with a small shader brush wet with MAC Fix+ to maximise the bling!

I add a little definition to my brows with Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow in Taupe, coat of Lancome Monsieur Big Mascara (little inappropriate but hey ho) and my favourite falsies. They look like Demi Wispies but come from Ali Express *she adds for total transparency*

The face bit ðŸ¦„

I decided to use the 'airbrush in a stick' as I used to call the Make Up For Ever Ultra HD Stick Foundation. It does something wonderful with my redness, scarring and other imperfections. Glorious finish, truly! Few dots (yeah right) of Tarte Shape Tape Concealer in Fair under eyes and all high points of my face to highlight and a lot of Beauty Blender Bubble Sponge plus RCMA No-Color Powder later, my base is ready to get contoured.

Sadly not shown on any of the pics because I’m forgetful, I use my fave combo of Benefit Hoola Light and Inglot HD Sculpting Powder in 504 (if you’re a ghost face - you NEED them!). I choose a light pink blush shade from Zoeva Sweet Glamour face palette in Ideal Love, the top up my highlight with Interpretation of Dreams (POST because I sing about it there!), which is everything a fairy grandmother highlight should be: a little white, a little lilac, a lot of magic! And it’s blinding, which is a must - sadly I still can’t photograph highlighters well, so you have to trust me on it!

Purple matte lip with chunky glitter

Lips that won’t quit ðŸ¦„

I could not revisit one of my favourite lip looks I’ve ever done using Jeffree Star You Better Work which is a beautiful, deep matte purple with a touch of Festival Face Pink Champagne Glitter! I adore this combination, as it’s easy yet gives that extra oomph! Adore!!! I used NYX Glitter Primer as an adhesive on the bottom mid lip as well as cupid’s bow. And with a title that could be understood wrong... What I meant was that glitter lip will stay put. Through drinks, coffee and ever a kebab at 4am when the clubs are closing. Please don’t ask how I know this! I wouldn’t recommend kissing though. You’ll be a hot mess and not a mythical creature that a  unicorn should be!

And voila! ðŸ¦„

I want to see all your Halloween looks so don’t forget to tag me in your creations my lovelies! Are you going out tonight? Staying home? If so, who wants to spend an evening with me, drinking wine and getting ready for an imaginary night out? If so, I’ll see you at my Insta Stories later. 7pm and you’re all invited!

Thank You For Reading,
Love
