Glossy metallic lids with Phase Zero Metal Foils |
The dream to achieve an almost glossy eye look that lasts has been almost impossible without looking like a hot rock chick mess within an hour or so. Let's face it, wearing gloss whatever its price won't make a difference. An eye gloss will crease and smudge. There are ways to cheat the system and easiest and most convenient options are foiled eyeshadows. The formula of a foil when applied correctly allows you to achieve the almost wet metallic look that will last the day or night. Today, I'd like to share with you the new affordable beauty launch from Phase Zero Makeup that will allow you to experiment with the biggest trend this summer at a fraction of the price and without the need of professional level makeup skills. Welcome to the world of Phase Zero Metal Foils*...
Phase Zero Makeup has surprised me this year. With excellent launches of their affordable liquid lipsticks and more recently liquid eyeshadows, I could not wait to get my hands on the new Metal Foils*. And with Love Me Beauty membership now scratched, there’s no better way than to treat yourself. If you like what you see and not willing to pay top ££ for it, check out the new Phase Zero Makeup Eye Foils and fall in love with metallic eyes once more.

Keeping things simple, the pots are made of black plastic with a screw on transparent lid so you can reach for your fave shade more easily. There are no double steps here like with Revolution or Stila. You can simply apply your product directly from the pot using either a brush or a finger. I much prefer application by finger as it gives me the OTT finish I desire.
Summer 2018 is all about shine. Light bases full of glow, out there highlighters, glitter and metallic eyes are begging to take them out. Be that festival, a night out or a party hard at one of Ibiza’s nightclubs, these smart little pots got you sorted. Not a party girl anymore? Don’t worry. You can dress them down by applying the product alone and buff it out in the crease for the undone, metallic daytime look.
I’ve been sent most shades and the colours vary from banging light silver all the way up to dark chocolate bronze. My personal faves and I won’t be breaking any grounds here are the three lightest shades. The blinding silver Godmother* is perfect in the inner corners or for that OTT spotlight eyes. Bling alert! The light rose gold Princess* takes any pink/purple smokey to another lever and light champagne gold Queen* was simply made for one (ahem Drama Queen at least!). I like my simple blown out smokey eye every day so I tend to grab medium dark bronze It's Me* or deep muted bronzed green Army* and simply apply it all over and smoke it out by blending them into the crease. They last well on top of the prepped lid but if you’re more oily there, try my trick of setting the crease with a transition shade as you buff out the main shade.

If you fancy a darker smouldering look for a special occasion, it couldn’t be easier than with almost black burgundy Goth Girl* I’d start with the black base using any blendable eye crayon/kohl like MUFE XL Kohl, any of the new non-waterproof Stila liners or NYX Coffee Bean to build on the darkness. Set it lightly with powder and apply Goth Girl on top with your finger. Take a transition shade (perhaps something a little warmer and camel-like) and blend it well in and above the crease for a full-on smokey. This should take you less than a minute and will leave you looking like you’ve just walked the catwalk!
Dead easy daytime to evening looks can be created with beautiful vintage gold Smudge*. Perfect all over the lid or as a spotlight, it's that one shade I couldn't go without and see myself using more and more as I attempt to venture into doing makeup on others! Then there's Gold Roses*, a stunning coppery rose gold that's so coveted in the beauty world right now. No warm smokey or halo eye should do without it, it's stunning!
There are many shades in this collection and I’m sure everyone will find their perfect foil there! And for £4.75 a pot you won’t find one cheaper nor sporting such large shade collection. The Phase Zero Metal Foils* will surely add a bit of sparkle to anyone makeup look and for once it has nothing to do with a skill. These apply and blend easily with fingers alone, wear well, have slim to none shimmer fallout and will leave you looking like a superstar!
