Morning routine in 4-steps |
I’m lazy alright, perhaps not skincare routine kinda lazy, but give me an ironing board and I’ll find a way to beat you to death with it (or at least my thoughts on it!). I often hear that the biggest problem you face when trying to care for your skin is a lack of time. And I get it, so I compiled a quick and easy routines for when you’re not feeling like spending 20 mins on lathering products on your face. Interested?
The easiest way to streamline the routine is to find products that do more than one thing at a time. You’re talking to a multi-serum babe here, so it took me a while, but I think I got it down now.
A quick swipe of Pixi Vitamin C Juice Cleanser* | RPR £18 does just that: it gently cleanses and tones at the same time, so you don’t have to do both. Plus you leave it on so no washing off means less time and it’s great for those not really into a long cleansing ritual in the morning. Cleanses and doubles up as toner, can I hear a whoop whoop? Available from ASOS, Boots, Cult Beauty, Look Fantastic, Marks and Spencers and of course Pixi UK.

Gentle vitamin C serum for every day use |
Follow up with a serum that does it all and by that I mean: hyaluronic acid and vitamin C in one fantastic step. Enter Femmue Lumière Vital C* | RPR £88 , a glorious watery formula that’s easy on dehydrated and sensitive skin and packs a punch of hydration and protecting goodness of antioxidants. Pricey? Sure, but you’re saving yourself a lot of time here! If glowing skin is your jam, then this ultra watery serum packed with vitamin C and Niacinamide will help brighten and enhance your inner glow in seconds and without irritation! There’s also panthenol, hyaluronic acid and betaine to help you care for your skin barrier health even more! It truly is a wonderful and protecting gem! Available from Feel Unique
Skincare bloggers and specialists alike often disagree on importance of eye cream/serum, but if you ask me, I see a difference if I don't use it. Often formulas I use on my face are simply too heavy to use around the eye area and can cause puffiness, so I usually opt for a light yet ultra hydrating serum, just like Dermalogica Biolumin-C Eye Serum* | RPR £63 which is by far the best brightening eye product I've used since my journey with skincare began. It sits perfectly under makeup providing all day hydration so no cakey concealer for this Queen. I've been using it every morning since the beginning of December so whilst pricey it lasts for a really long time. Available from Dermalogica UK, Fragrance Direct (cheapest), John Lewis and Look Fantastic

Moisturiser with SPF that doubles up as a primer |
For the last step and I’m painfully aware I have managed to do what usually takes me 8-10 products in a mere 4, is a moisturiser with an SPF that can in fact also triple the bill by being an excellent primer but we’re not taking makeup here. Dermalogica Prisma Protect SPF30* is what dreams are made off. Not only is it an effective moisturising sealer but also works really hard at protecting your face from UV rays, blue light and other environmental stressors. Just make sure you use enough, a pointer finger method is my personal fave! Available from Dermalogica, John Lewis and Look Fantastic
Are you a lazy bear or 10-step Queen? I’d love to hear all about your morning rituals!
