Diego Dalla Palma Cruise Collection 2020 review with swatches

When the new Diego Dalla Palma summer collection drops you know it’s going to be a good one. Combination of beautiful packaging, stunning formulas and the colour story got me hooked. Here are my thoughts on Cruise Collection 2020, if you’re looking to extend the summer for just a little bit longer!

Hold onto the glow with Radiance Booster for Face & Body - a beautifully bronzed highlighter you can apply on its own, under or mixed in with the foundation. It’s a perfect one for me since I don’t tan, this gives me a little tan as if I just came back from holiday. Beautiful.

My personal favourite: Turn on the Blush (RPR £20) compact combines pinky, peachy and champagne-y shades that give my skin a little flush of colour but not overdo it. It’s not too pigmented (yay!) and gives just a perfect amount of colour even if you’re a little on a heavier hand side. Of course, it’s buildable too, so whatever your blush style, this one will take you from day to night in a single swipe. If you were to grab only one thing from this collection, let it be the blush! Gorgeous!

I’ve been on a lookout for a new quad since I no longer reach for my CT ones as I made a decision not to spend my money on them, and California Dreaming eyeshadow quad (RPR £20) may just be the one, a beautiful selection of everyday shimmers combined with a matte pop of colour (peachy pink perfection if you ask me), if I’m wearing eyeshadow on a daily, this is what I’m reaching for. Just look at the swatches, aren’t they beaut? Try the pinky matte all over the lid lower lash line, then top up with a couple of shimmers for that lazy, I’m on holiday, glowing eye makeup look. Or use shimmers all over and only accent the pink on the lower lash line - it’ll make your blue/grey/green eyes pop and hazel and brown sparkle a bit too. Yes from me.

I don’t usually opt for fuchsia lipsticks, but there’s no denying that Venice Beach lippy (RPR £16 each) has a wonderful formula. Creamy, leaves behind a lovely stain too. I haven’t seen it in a while so my guess is I’d find it in my Mom’s makeup bag, as she adores the pinks! I may need to grab the second shade, which is more coral-like, but what I’d really like to see if a vibrant and juicy orange-red, as the formula is so light yet pigmented and feels like nothing on the lips.

And let’s just give a quick shout out to the packaging: matte plastic with a bit of gum feel to it, in stunning vibrant colours - these will not be lost in your vanity/makeup bag for sure! They feel luxury and perform as such too. There are a few more bits in the collection like the coral lippy I mentioned above, a couple of shades (pink and peach) of cream stick blush & a colour changing lipstick/lip balm.

Oh, but did I mention that the whole Diego Dalla Palma  Cruise Collection 2020 is now on 3 for 2 offer on Look Fantastic? Go get them, my Queens :)
